......... Bin Laden is dead. Thank You my brothers and sisters in the military for bringing us this victory against those who would try and destroy us. I always knew it was only a matter of time. Last night at the late hour of near 11pm The President informed the country that Bin Laden was finally history. Now he will, of course, attempt to take credit for it. A war that has had little or no support from the liberal is now the liberals victory? Sure if it helps you sleep at night sure. A media whom 10 years ago were informing us that Bush would never get Bin Laden, but Bush went ahead and set the wheels in motion anyway. 10 years ago the media asserted that Bin Laden was more than likely already dead killed in a bombing in the mountains of Afghanistan/Pakistan. Bin Laden was after all they said a very sick man who probably could not have survived. The media 10 years ago liked to show us pictures of newly fallen soldiers in the war on terror on a nightly basis, PBS still carries on that tradition today. Seems they did not die in vain after all. I will not say this is a victory for every American because it is not. It is a victory for every American who never wavered in their support for this hunt. It is a victory for every American who never backed down in the face of the liberal onslaught of laying guilt and shame upon those who always believed what we were doing was right. It is a victory for the victims of that horrible day, a day I will never forget as long as I live. I can still see them falling from the towers...... This will never be a victory for those who second guessed, for those vilified, for those who cursed America, no matter who they may be. And Mr.President with all due respect to your office and to you, this is not your victory either, spare us the shame of having watch you try and use it for such. But thanks for the heads up.
Now I Can Mourn My Countrymen..............

Things we should do together- take a moment of silence to remember fallen troops, their familes and those who fight everyday to protect us.
We owe it to all of the to not do this sniping at each other.
That's all I have to say today. I am sad to see what is going on here.

And this justifies you infering Obama made this a campaign issue? How can you blame anybody else for your own thoughts Tesla?
I'm sorry, but I am dissappointed in you today.

This is a promise Obama kept. He said he would capture or kill Osama, and he did. He made it a priority, he oversaw the intel, and he authorized the plan. I'm sorry that you think so little of liberals that you had to diminish this event in this way. This is extremely dissapointing. I'd have been happy if Bush had succeeded in capturing or killing Osama, why can't you give Obama the slightest amount of credit for his part?

I've said this elsewhere, but I feel it is right to say here also.
I give credit to President Obama for having the sense to go along with whoever was really running this operation. I also believe that he really did want to get Bin Laden for more than just political gain.He took a risk, a major one, if this attempt had failed or proven to be launched on false intelligence and Obama wouldn't have a political career worth salvaging.
He is quite obviously trying to take as much of the credit and make as much political hay as he can during the euphoria that is currently sweeping the country.
There are certain truths that should not be forgotten about. He talks about keeping his promise to get Bin Laden. Well, he had the courage to do things the Bush way, which means he broke another campaign promise, the one dealing with the idea of not invading another country's territory. He also used information gotten from Gitmo under the Bush administration.
Getting credit for this accomplishment will probably give Obama a temporary boost in the polls, it really is not going to be that much of a factor in 2012. We all know that the credit goes to a dedicated military officer, or spook and special team of American men and women.
Somebody ran this operation for the last ten years and brought it to this conclusion, it wasn't Bush or Obama. Bush did the right thing by going after Bin Laden and Obama did the right thing by authorizing this expedition, both actions were presidential.

Just in case I didn't make my self perfectly clear, Obama and the Democratic campaign machine are doing everything possible, with the aide of the media to make this a campaign issue. To me it is just another "distraction of the moment" issue.
