Midnight Musings....From Left Field

...... I don't sleep well, never have really. My parents claim I was awake the entire first two years of my life. I doubt that is true, but I can understand the feelings. As I got older I often sat up late in the hour and pondered things. Global hunger, life, the universe, everything. I believe I have solved the mystery of ' The Arrow of Time', I think I have figured out what the center of the universe looks like. I haven't gotten all the way to solving the inertia problem with faster than light travel yet, but I am working on it. Those kinds of ponderings. Couple of nights ago, I turned off the TV and sat there pondering my deep thoughts and I got a notion. How could you rig a national election in America? You would need a ton of money, be relatively unknown, have a encyclopedia of contacts. But how? You certainly couldn't hope to stuff ballot boxes. Even with cooperation someone would blab. You could not possibly hope to bribe the candidates God knows they would blab. Every state has a different way of tabulating and recording votes, no help there. How???

Suppose you or a group of yous wanted America to travel in a certain direction, what could you do to insure that it got headed that way and stayed that way? Well you start when a nation is young, you shape it, you nudge policy direction, you accumulate your wealth and contacts, you keep it close and you slowly fade from public view. You buy companies, land, make donations. Donations to such degrees that institutions become beholden to you. You never become overt in your attempt to influence, you cultivate relationships that are in line with your plans and ideas. You form partnerships. You do the same on a smaller scale across the world. You would not become to concerned with politics while the nation is young because you own the nation. Without you and your partners the country doesn't move. But as the nation grows and wealth becomes more wide spread and the thirst for power begins to trickle down into the masses, you fade entirely. Not from participation, but from anyone except those in your own group knowing you still do. Now how would you handle these new pesky individuals with ideas of their own? You watch them investigate determine if their views are in line with the direction you pointed the country in. Keep files watch the families. Then control it all.

If you are this "phantom(s)" you have no concern for ideology, yours is the only one that matters. The road you started people on is wide you can tolerate swings from side to side as long as they move forward. Lets say you have 4 candidates from the democrats 3 from the republicans in the primaries. With your connections you have them investigated, anyone automatically not fitting a certain profile can be easily eliminated. You simply have an anonymous call made to a reporter spill the dirt, the politician is crucified in the press and drops out of the race. No dirt? Create it then, no worries. Cut the field down to those who will push a portion or all of your agenda forward, no matter party. You have had these people chosen because either party suits your needs for this particular plan. Then the election procedes as always, no one the wiser. And no matter who is elected you have your man/woman in office. And you continue with other portions of the agenda. The public is clueless looks just like any other election cycle to them. You have kept it in the family so to speak. You have fueled the public in to fighting with each other with the media outlets you own. You have flooded the commercial markets with gadgets and toys to fill their minds and your pockets. Hollywood also helps keep them distracted. You throw up non issues that you know can never be solved as long as two ideologies exist. And you never have to dirty your hands with the small stuff.

Just a thought mind you. A late night thought at that. But you know..........What if????Type Your Article Here ...

I am a late night person....but in order not to have nightmares thinking of world "issues", I struggle with plotting....my garden. LOL!

Hope all is well....and you get some sleep.

I appreciated your thoughts. Power like wealth is handed down from generation to generation, and it is difficult, if not impossible to break the cycle.

For what you say to be true, Democrats and Republicans must be no more than two sides of the same coin.

I was thinking movie right out of the box myself. Clean cut all-American lad runs for office ripped apart by this faceless entity goes to hunt them down clear his good name. Final shot he steps out of limo with the bad guy wearing sunglasses and for all the world looking as if he has joined the team.

Pan to the "bad guy" as he takes his sunglasses off and says, to once clean cut American lad , go get em kid. The camera goes to a close up of the bad guy again, revealing the evil mentor is Bill Gates LOL!

Book, movie what ever, better get it copywritten before I steal it LOL!

In many ways my friend tesla....I wish I had your balance. But then, if I did...I would not be here, rather, I would be in Cirque Du Soleil, touring the world. Again....an excellent read.
